WrappedWrapped Monthly Giveaway: Official Rules
1. No purchase necessary
Gems can't be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for cash. They're earned only by wrapping tefillin and reaching streak milestones in Wrapped, which is free. You can also enter for free without gems (see "How to enter"). Nothing you buy can improve your chances.
2. Sponsor
The Wrapped Monthly Giveaway is run by Jacob Rothenberg, Ontario, Canada, the developer of Wrapped (the "Sponsor"). Apple is not a sponsor of, and is not involved in, this giveaway in any way. Prizes are donated by charities and other donors, who are credited in the app but aren't sponsors. Questions: [email protected].
3. Who can enter
Residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, and of Canada except Quebec, who are 13 or older. Anyone under the age of majority where they live needs a parent's or legal guardian's permission to enter. The age of majority is 18, except 19 in Alabama, Nebraska, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Yukon, and 21 in Mississippi. Void where prohibited. The Sponsor and members of the Sponsor's household can't win. Before your first entry, the app asks you to confirm you can enter.
4. When
Each month's giveaway is a separate promotion. It opens when the previous month's draw happens and closes at the draw time shown in the app, at the start of the following month. Draws happen Sunday to Thursday at 15:00 UTC, never on Shabbat or Yom Tov. Entries only count for the prize they were made for.
5. How to enter
With gems: in Wrapped, open the Shop and enter with gems. Each entry costs the number of gems shown with the prize, and gems spent on entries aren't returned.
Free: email [email protected] with the subject "Free entry", the email address of your Wrapped account, the prize you want to enter, and a confirmation that you meet these rules. You'll get one free entry per person per prize. Requests must arrive at least 3 days before the draw time.
Every entry, with gems or free, is one chance to win. One account per person: entries from more than one account belonging to the same person may be disqualified.
6. Prizes
Each prize, its approximate retail value in US dollars, and the number of prizes are shown in the app. One winner per prize. A month's prizes are worth no more than US$5,000 in total. Prizes can't be exchanged for cash or transferred. If a prize becomes unavailable, the Sponsor may substitute one of equal or greater value.
7. The draw and the odds
Each prize is drawn separately, at random by computer, from all eligible entries for it; prizes aren't allocated by region. The odds depend on how many eligible entries are received, including free entries. The app shows the current total.
8. Claiming a prize
Winners are told in the app, and by email unless they've turned off Email updates in Settings. To claim a prize within 7 days (the deadline is shown in the app), the winner must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without help, give a shipping address where prizes can be sent, and confirm they meet these rules and accept the release below. A winner under the age of majority must claim with a parent or legal guardian, who confirms their permission and accepts the release for them; the prize is sent to the parent or guardian. If a prize isn't claimed in time, or the winner isn't eligible, it's forfeited and another entry is drawn. If no one claims it, it isn't awarded.
9. Delivery
Prizes are shipped free to the address given. The Sponsor isn't responsible for a wrong address or for items lost or damaged in the mail. Winners are responsible for any taxes, duties or customs fees; in the US, a prize's value may be taxable income.
10. Release
By claiming a prize, the winner (or, for a winner under the age of majority, their parent or guardian) releases the Sponsor and the prize's donor from liability for any loss, injury or damage arising from taking part in the giveaway or from the prize, to the extent the law allows. Prizes are provided as they are, with only any manufacturer's warranty.
11. Privacy
A winner's name, address and phone number are used only to deliver the prize, and are deleted 90 days after it's sent. See the Privacy Policy.
12. General
The Sponsor may disqualify anyone who cheats, for example by using several accounts or recording wraps that didn't happen, and may change or cancel a giveaway if something beyond its control affects its fairness. Gems and entries have no cash value and can't be transferred. By entering, you agree to these rules.
