The scan doesn't recognize my tefillin
Hold the phone at arm's length with the box on your forehead clearly in frame, face the light, and show the straps on your arm if you can. If the scan still can't confirm your tefillin after two tries, you can log the day on your honor.
My apps are locked
They unlock as soon as you complete your scan, and always at sunset. They're never locked on Shabbat or Yom Tov. If you really need an app, use an emergency unlock in Settings → App lock (three a month). You can also turn app lock off there.
How do streak freezes work?
If a tefillin day ends without a wrap, a freeze is used automatically and your streak is kept, even if your phone is off. A freeze costs 200 gems in the Shop, and you can hold up to five. You earn 10 gems every time you wrap, plus more at streak milestones, so a freeze comes about every 20 wraps.
How does the monthly giveaway work?
Each month there are prizes in the Shop. Enter with gems you've earned by wrapping: each entry is one chance. At the start of the next month a winner is drawn at random for each prize, and the app counts down to it. If you win, we'll show it in the app and email you (unless you've turned emails off). Claim it in the Shop within 7 days by answering a quick math question and giving your shipping address, or another winner is drawn. Gems can't be bought, so entering never costs money. Who can enter the giveaway?
People who live in the US or Canada (outside Quebec) and are 13 or older. If you're under 18 (19 in some states and provinces, 21 in Mississippi), you need a parent's or guardian's OK, and if you win they claim the prize with you and we send it to them. The app asks you to confirm this before your first entry.
Can I enter without gems?
Yes. Email [email protected] with the subject "Free entry", the email address of your Wrapped account, the prize you want to enter, and a line confirming you meet the rules. You get one free entry per prize, and it counts the same as an entry made with gems. Send it at least 3 days before the draw.
How does the gift shop work?
Some items in the Shop can be had outright for gems, no draw involved, while stock lasts. Many are donated by local charities. Tap "Get it", enter your shipping address, and we'll email you when it's on its way. Shipping is free; the order screen shows the countries the gift shop ships to.
The times look wrong
Wrapped calculates sunrise and sunset from your location. If location access is off, it uses a city in your time zone, and the app says the times are approximate. Turn on location for Wrapped in iOS Settings for exact times.
How do I stop the emails?
Turn them off in the app's Settings.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Today, tap the gear, then Account → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
